Black Law Students Association (BLSA)

MISSION: 

The Brooklyn Law School chapter of the Black Law Students Association endeavors to articulate and promote the needs and goals of Black law students and effectuate change in the legal community.  BLSA has made a commitment to proportionate representation in the professional arena, supported by sponsoring workshops and symposia and by supplying individualized assistance. BLSA sponsors professional, academic, alumni, community service and social events throughout the year and represents the needs of Black students to the administration, faculty, and student body.

Your donation will be used to fund several programs and initiatives this year and provide our incoming executive board with a foundation to build out their Fall 2024 programming. This includes academic-year programming featuring academic and career development workshops, Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions, alumni networking events, pre-law workshops, and much more. Additionally, BLSA wants to continue providing a bar prep scholarships to alleviate the financial burden of paying for bar review courses and improve outcomes for our students. BLSAs programming is far-reaching and limitless in scope. Your donation allows us to put on valuable, engaging events and invest in the success of all the students that participate.
