Rob was a brilliant man who from a young age garnered recognition as a talented writer, winning multiple student journalism awards at Cuba-Rushford Central Schools. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Politics at New York University in 2011, he worked as a legal researcher at Corsearch before ultimately enrolling at Brooklyn Law School in 2020. He was an outstanding student who served as a dedicated member of the Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society, and interned for the United States Attorney's Office, Judge Lorna Schofield in the Southern District of New York, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. After graduation, he planned to dedicate his career to public service. He received his Juris Doctorate in 2022. His formidable intellect was equaled by his genuine humility, kindness, and conviction.
Our goal is to raise enough money ($25k!) to fund an endowed award for Civil Procedure in Rob’s honor. While Rob was a strong student in every subject he studied, he demonstrated particular excellence in Civil Procedure, and his note on general jurisdiction was published in Issue 1 of Volume 88 of the Brooklyn Law Review. We hope to award future students who show a similar excellence and passion for Civil Procedure to honor Rob’s legacy, his commitment to his law school education, and his aptitude and dedication to Civil Procedure.
